GREEN CLEANING
In keeping with our commitment to provide our customers with a healthy environment and the highest quality services, CBS, Inc. has developed a Green Cleaning Program that takes a pro-active approach to providing state-of-the-art Green Services.
Green Cleaning is defined as cleaning to protect health and to prevent harm to the environment.
CBS, Inc. has partnered with Johnson Diversity, Spartan Chemical, Enviro-solution, Baywest Paper, Kimberly Clark and others to provide Green Seal certified and/or Environmentally Friendly products. We use a Dilution Control System to dispense chemicals; there is no mixing by hand. Products are numbered and color-coded for easy identification and employee training.
Following are the Green Seal approved products we use:
- GS-37 Glass Cleaner
- GS-37 All Purpose Cleaner
- GS-37 Restroom Cleaner
- GS-37 Shampoo
- GS-40 Floor Stripper
- GS-40 Floor Finish
CBS, Inc. and the manufacturer of these products provide training to all CBS employees on their proper use. All product containers are 100% recyclable.
We use paper products that are environmentally friendly and that aid in source reduction and waste management:
- Hard roll towel systems
- Multifold towel systems
- Coreless standard and jumbo rolls of bathroom tissue
We also use:
- Green Hand Cleaners and Hand Soap (classified under the Green seal GS-41 category)
- Microfiber cleaning cloths that remove surface contamination more efficiently than regular towels
- HEPA vacuums that are Green Label approved
- Carpet extractors certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute for deep cleaning
